School Safety Reporting System – Gladbrook-Reinbeck CSD

Gladbrook-Reinbeck Community School District utilizes Safe+Sound Iowa, the statewide school safety reporting system administered by the Iowa Department of Public Safety. Safe+Sound Iowa provides a confidential, anonymous, 24/7 reporting mechanism for students, staff, parents, and community members to report safety concerns related to threats of violence, weapons, self-harm, bullying, harassment, substance use, or other behaviors that may pose a risk to school safety.

Reports can be submitted through multiple access points:

All submissions are received, triaged, and routed through the Safe+Sound Iowa platform to school administration and law enforcement, as appropriate, to support timely intervention and coordinated response.

The district promotes the use of Safe+Sound Iowa through parent communication, student information, staff training, and safety resources, and integrates the system into our emergency response and threat assessment practices.

In addition to Safe+Sound Iowa, Gladbrook-Reinbeck CSD also accepts direct reports of safety concerns through building administrators, counselors, and our district office, and maintains a district reporting system integrated into our Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), which outlines procedures for threat assessment, incident response, communication, and coordination with law enforcement and local agencies.
