Next Tuesday, December 5th, we are hosting Grundy Center in a JV/V G/B basketball night. During half time of the varsity girls game, we are planning to have a recognition of the 2023 GCGR boys soccer 1A state runner-up team. We will have members of that team come down to mid-court during the recognition.
We hope to see a lot of people in the stands and throughout the night, especially during half time of the varsity girls game as we honor the 2023 GCGR boys soccer team for their historic season.
It will be a GReat night, and we look forward to seeing everyone!

Dear Rebel Nation,
I am writing to inform you of an incident that occurred last night at our elementary school and to express my profound gratitude for the swift and effective response from our community.
Around 11:30 PM, we were alerted to fire alarms and visible smoke in the east hallway of our elementary school. Thanks to the immediate action of our Reinbeck Fire Department & EMS, the situation was quickly brought under control. A heater with a mechanical issue was identified as the source, and we were able to turn off the heater and clear the building of smoke. I am relieved to report that the smoke was confined to the east hallway and did not affect any classrooms, as all doors were securely closed.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteer fire department. Their prompt and prepared response averted a potentially serious situation, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to our community's safety.
Additionally, I want to acknowledge and thank our staff members who responded to the incident. Your cooperation and prompt action in such a situation is commendable.
This incident serves as a reminder of the strength and resilience of our school community. It also highlights the importance of our emergency response procedures and the need for continued vigilance to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
Thank you once again to everyone involved for your dedication and swift action. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed and are greatly appreciated.
