Today third grade had our December Ag in the Classroom. Today we learned about Christmas trees and made an ornament.
Here are some things we learned:
-Iowa has 100 Christmas tree farms.
-Christmas trees are grown in all 50 states.
-It takes a tree about 7 years of growing to be ready to cut.
-A tree grows one foot each year after it is planted outside.
Thanks to Farm Bureau for providing this opportunity for our students!

GR Xtreme youth basketball hosted their girls youth basketball tournament today. 4 age divisions, with a total of 15 teams. A big thanks to the volunteers! GR team of the tourney goes to the 4th grade group! They play hard and fast! A good foundation to start with!
The GR girls junior high basketball teams got to play some basketball this weekend! Getting better everyday!

12/9/22 High school students taking classes at the Western Outreach Center- due to delays in other school districts, there will be no 1st or 2nd hour WOC class.
