On a chilly and windy day, the GC-GR cross country teams will look to heat up the course. It’s the #NICL conference meet, and it’s taking place in La Porte City at the Golf & Country Club at 3PM. Both HS and JH teams will be running today. The schedule goes as follows:

The Rebel VB team is serving up another home match tonight as we host the Jesup J-Hawks. It’s also parents night and senior night as we honor our parents and senior players.
JV starts at 5:30PM with the varsity to follow around 7:30PM. All kids and seniors will walk with parents and be recognized before the varsity warmups begins. Come on out and support Rebel volleyball!

This Friday, Oct. 14th the Rebels with draw their regular season to a close vs Collins-Maxwell. Due to field construction at CM, the game will be played at Colo-Nesco HS in Colo. Start time is 7PM. Players will be wearing pink socks to support breast cancer awareness. Fans if they would like can join in and wear pink. Go Rebels!

GR postseason football is just around the corner. It was a hard fought battle last Friday night vs Don Bosco that led to a 35-32 defeat for the Rebels.
But, the great news is that we have qualified for the 2022 state playoffs with one regular season game remaining! We will know our first round opponent by Saturday Oct. 15th and if we will get to host or travel for that game. First round takes place at 7PM on Oct. 21st.

Congratulations to the Rebels on their 2nd place finish at the BCLUW tournament losing a thriller of a match to North Tama 1-2. The Rebels are next at home on Tuesday for their final regular season match up with Jesup starting at 5:30
Great meet by the XC team today @North Lynn. Varsity boys 4th, JV boys 7th. Varsity girls 9th, JV girls 6th. JH also ran well with an individual 1st place by Jayce Friesly. Plenty of PR’s for the team today as well!
Check out the Rebels as they head to BCLUW for a Saturday tournament starting at 9:45 as they take on North Tama for another top 5 clash of 1A ranked opponents. The Rebels conclude pool play with HLV and Collins-Maxwell around 11:00. See you there.
