Last night our Rebel Wrestlers competed at our HOME JH Wrestling meet at G-R with over 120 wrestlers from 7 different schools. It was a great night of wrestling! Thanks to the workers, officials, parents and fans that came out to support our coaches and athletes! #rebelnation

Rebel Athletics: Last 2-3 weeks our G-R athletes have been working hard at plyometric training on T/Th at 6:15am. "Plyos" train athletes to jump higher, run faster & be more explosive. Coach Luhring & Coach Schuman have been keeping track of attendance and will start recognizing those that show up so keep up the good work. HOWEVER we need to take TOMORROW OFF so we can be rested up to cheer on the Rebels at the DOME. See you next Tuesday, Nov 26th! #rebelnation.

Rebel Nation, Tomorrow morning the football team will depart from the front of the high school at approximately 7:15 AM. If you would like to send them off, we ask that you’re in front of the high school at 7 AM. They will be escorted via fire truck going north on Blackhawk St to Hwy 175. They will go east on 175 until reaching Pioneer Road where they will turn and go north to the UNI-Dome! Regardless of the outcome of the game, we will have a season and welcome back celebration in the HS gym approximately one hour after the completion of the game. We will keep you updated on when the team will be arriving back at the HS, where we will have a celebration in the gym. On their way back to Reinbeck, they will have a firetruck escort them into town and will take a short route to the school. They will be going across 175 on pioneer road, then turn right on Main St and will go to Blackhawk St. They will go south on Blackhawk St in front of the high school and then turn left on Cedar St. They will end the route behind the school where the team will get off the bus and come into the school for a celebration. We would love to see as much of Rebel Nation before, during, and after the game as possible! Go Rebels!

We're halfway through the elementary book fair! We set a goal of how many books we wanted to get into kids' hands and we are so close to meeting that goal! If you haven't gotten a chance to visit yet, the fair will be open at the elementary library until 8:30am Tuesday morning. Remember, if there are books that are out of stock from the fair or if you're looking for anything additional additional, the online fair is open through December 1st at https://www.scholastic.com/bf/grelem24. 7th grade science started their ecology unit yesterday. Today we played a game about carrying capacity and the factors that can affect the population in an ecosystem.

Rebel Nation, We will be changing the location of the pep rally for the football team. It will now take place in front of the elementary and start at approximately 7 PM tonight. We are hosting JH wrestling at the high school and if you are able please support our JH wrestlers and cheer them on! The Union GR Girls Wrestling had their 1st meet tonight at BGM. Ella Wagner went 2-1 with 1 pin Jasmine Bassett went 1-2 Lexi Umbaugh went 0-3 against some really tough competition. Keep Working hard Ladies!

Last week, in 3rd grade, we worked on writing a letter and addressing an envelope. Our letters were letters of gratitude to someone in our lives. On Friday, we walked to the business office to get postage put on our letters. We then headed to the post office to send our letters off!

Thurs, Nov 21st we were to host JH G BB at home, but due to the Football game and no school we will be making the following changes--->Tues. Nov 19th we will play JH G BB at Wellsburg at 4:15 and on Dec 16th the JH G BB game vs AGWSR will be at G-R. #Rebelnation

We’ll face #4 Remsen-St. Mary’s at 9:30 AM on Thursday, November 21st, at the UNI Dome. To allow for fans, students, and staff to attend the game, there will be NO SCHOOL on Thursday. Here’s how we’re celebrating and showing our Rebel pride: 📣 Tuesday, November 19th at 7:00 PM – Pep Rally in front of the school. Let’s rally together to celebrate and encourage our players! 👋 Wednesday, November 20th – Elementary students will send off the team before practice to wish them luck. 🚍 Thursday, November 21st at 7:15 AM – Send-off from the JH/HS building as the team departs with an escort out of town. When we say we have some amazingly talented girls on our squad we aren’t exaggerating! 9 of our 12 Football Cheerleaders are in this years fall musical “Sister Act”. If you haven’t had a chance to see if their last performance is at 2pm today! Don’t miss it! Your coaches were once again blown away! We are so proud of all you do and how well you do it all!!! Special shout out to the our seniors- Vanessa, Nattalee, Akeelah and Mallory! Akeelah- you rocked the spotlights! You also were an awesome cheerleader from up above! Mallory- You knocked your role of a waitress out of the park! Fast and efficient. Vanessa and Nattalee we hear your cheering voices everyday (one of you more than the other 😉😂)- but getting to hear you both sing was incredible! You had the perfect parts in this play and somehow fit your friendship almost perfectly. You were both so fun to watch on stage and you nailed it! If you missed last nights show don’t miss the last show today at 2pm. You won’t be disappointed! Congrats to all of the cast and crew on another impressive musical!
