Interested in Serving on the School Board?

Strong public schools depend on effective leadership. The Iowa Association of School Boards and Gladbrook-Reinbeck Community School District encourage Iowans who are passionate about education to consider running in the upcoming school board election on November 4, 2025.

School board members play a vital role in shaping the future of our students and communities. They are responsible for setting educational goals, establishing policy, overseeing district finances, and holding the district accountable for student learning. While board members receive no pay for their service, many describe the rewards as deeply meaningful—knowing their efforts help meet the needs of children and strengthen their community.

This fall, four seats on the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Board of Education will be up for election. Nominations can be filed between August 25 and September 18. Nomination papers are available from the board secretary at the district office:

Gladbrook-Reinbeck CSD
600 Blackhawk Street
Reinbeck, IA 50669
Office Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday

Candidates must obtain 30 signatures to qualify for the ballot.

Rebel Nation,

Next Tuesday, September 9th will be youth volleyball night as we host East Marshall. Youth volleyball players in grades 3rd through 8th can wear their youth volleyball shirt and get free admission into the HS volleyball matches that night.

In between lower level matches and the varsity match, we will have youth volleyball players come down to the floor to be recognized. It will be a GReat night for volleyball!

Thank you and go Rebels!

We had the best morning in TK. Miss Nissen brought her pet snake Callisto to our room! She taught us a little bit about snakes and talked about what she has to do to take care of Callisto. Then she let everyone pet him. It was awesome!
