School Board Vacancy

The Gladbrook-Reinbeck School Board has had a director resign. 

Pursuant to Iowa Code 279.6, the Gladbrook-Reinbeck CSD School Board publishes this notice of its intent to appoint a person to fill a vacancy on the Board.  Eligible electors of the Gladbrook-Reinbeck CSD have the right to file a petition requiring that this vacancy be filled by special election.  Petitions must be received by the board secretary within 14 days after the publication of this notice.  For details and signatory requirements, contact the Board Secretary.

Given the Board’s governing policy and the provisions of the Iowa Code, the Gladbrook-Reinbeck School Board has established a process for selecting and appointing an individual to fill the unexpired term of office. It is important to note that all portions of the appointment are public.

This appointment is for a term that ends after next November’s election. Therefore, this is approximately a 7-month term.

The board of directors is currently considering appointments and an appointment will be made at an upcoming board meeting.
