Gladbrook-Reinbeck JH/HS implemented their first May Term at the end of this past school year. Junior High and High School students were given the choice to participate in a variety of activities to culminate the end of the school year. Activity options included the following:
- Camp Courageous
- Backbone State Park
- Fishing
- Blank Park Zoo
- Palmers Family Fun
- Bowling
Students reported that they enjoyed the opportunity to do something different to end their year. Teachers and school staff reported that they enjoyed the opportunity to build relationships outside of the walls of the school and see their students in a different light. Overall, the district felt that May Term was a successful learning opportunity for our students and staff, and we look forward to continuing this opportunity for students.
