Dear Gladbrook-Reinbeck Families,

It is my privilege to serve as the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Elementary Principal.  I am honored to have the opportunity to be part of this building and thankful that I get to work with so many great staff members, students and parents.  My family and I are excited to be living in the district, and to call this home.

Prior to Gladbrook-Reinbeck, I served the Interstate-35 and Norwalk Community School Districts.  My experiences include classroom teaching, Technology Integrationist and athletic coaching.

I want to thank everyone for the past two years.  Our building has grown a lot the last two years and we look forward to continuing that.  According to the state of Iowa our building was named a “High Performing School” and ranked as one of the top 13% of buildings in the state of Iowa.  We look forward to continuing that growth and providing the best academic and social-emotional support for the students of Gladbrook-Reinbeck.

With the school year quickly approaching we wanted to share some important dates and information with you.

    • Dismissal: 3:10

      • Bus students usually leave the parking lot anywhere from 3:16-3:20

BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROCEDURES

  • Dropping off students:

    • Please use the lane just south of the new parking lot to drop off your child/children.  The lane closest to the school is used for buses and students walking into school once they are dropped off.

  • Picking students up:

    • Please park single file so there is a lane open.

    • Please use the same lane that you used to drop off your child/children.

  • Town Students:

    • We encourage students who walk or get dropped off at school to arrive at 8:00am or after.

NEW STOP SIGNS

  • The city and the school have collaborated to add two foldable stop signs at the entryway of the elementary.  These will be up from 7:00 am to 4:00pm on school days.   With this place our students will have another level of safety as they walk to and from school.

Class Lists

  • With August 15th being the final day of registration we are sending out class lists on August 16th.  You will be notified when they are available.

This school has amazing communities and I look forward to collaborating with each of you.  I can’t wait for this year to start and have another opportunity to serve the students, staff, and families of the Gladbrook-Reinbeck CSD.

Sincerely,

Shaun Lehmann
