Dear Gladbrook-Reinbeck Families,
It is my privilege to serve as the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Secondary Principal. I am honored to have the opportunity to be part of this building and thankful that I get to work with so many great staff members, students and parents.
Prior to Gladbrook-Reinbeck, I served for thirteen years in the Waterloo Community School District and spent my first three years of education in the Des Moines Public School District. My experiences include high school science teaching, instructional coaching, science curriculum leader, STEM Coordinator, and district administrator, overseeing instructional coaching and mentoring and induction.
I want to thank everyone for all the warm welcomes over the last month. The sense of community is high, and I’m honored to join! There are many great things going on at the secondary building, and we are going to continue forward momentum in growth, innovation, and achievement. We look forward to continuing to provide the best academic and social-emotional support for the students of Gladbrook - Reinbeck.
With the school year quickly approaching we wanted to share some important dates and information with you.
IMPORTANT DATES
August 15th: Walk in registration for the entire District will take place at the JH/HS from 12:00pm-6:00pm
August 18th: 7th Grade Orientation from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
August 18th: Open House at the Jr/Sr High School from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
August 23rd: First Day of School
August 30th and September 1st: 2 Hour Early Dismissal (K-6 Input Conferences)
September 1st: School Pictures
September 5th: Labor day - No School
September 19th: Teacher Professional Development - No School

Bus Students are dismissed at 3:10
BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROCEDURES
Students may be present on school grounds before 7:45 a.m. or after 3:45 p.m. only when they are under the supervision of an employee or an extracurricular activity sponsor. If school is dismissed early, students are expected to leave the school grounds within 15 minutes of dismissal.
SCHEDULES
Student schedules are posted in JMC. After the first day of school all schedule change requests must be approved by a parent/guardian via written or verbal communication.
This school has amazing communities and I look forward to collaborating with each of you. I can’t wait for this year to start and have the opportunity to serve the students, staff, and families of the Gladbrook-Reinbeck CSD.
