Dear G-R Families and Community Members,

We want to remind you that residents of the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Community School District will vote on a bond issue on Tuesday, September 13. If the $23.6 million bond is approved, it would enable the district to address our most pressing facility needs, including:

  • HVAC system upgrades in both buildings

  • Making every restroom and floor level handicap accessible

  • Gym expansion at the Jr./Sr. High School

  • Classroom additions to the elementary school

  • Secured entry in both buildings

  • Renovations and updates in both buildings

An approved bond would have a property tax impact of $199.58 annually ($16.63 per month) on a home assessed at $100,000. For agricultural land, the impact would be anywhere from $5.36 to $6.62 per acre annually, depending on the location in Tama, Black Hawk, Grundy, or Marshall County.

On election day, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the following locations:

Gladbrook Memorial Building

421 Johnston Street, Gladbrook

Residents of Crystal Township, Spring Creek Township, City of Gladbrook, Marshall County will vote at this location
