Gladbrook-Reinbeck will be one of four hosts for night 1 of the NICL volleyball tournament! This will take place on Tuesday, October 7th at GR High School. The schedule below will be how the night will unfold:
4:40pm - 1st Match Warm-Up
5:00pm - Match 1 -- Gladbrook-Reinbeck vs Oelwein
Match 2 -- Sumner-Fredericksburg vs Aplington-Parkersburg
Match 3 -- M1 Losing Team vs M2 Losing Team
Match 4 -- M1 Winning Team vs M2 Winning Team
It will be streamed on our HUDL TV page.
Admission will be $7 for adults and K-12 students.
Due to this being a conference tournament, GR activity passes ARE NOT accepted! The only accepted passes are NICL passes. You can get admittance using cash or we will have a card reader available.
We look forward to a GReat night of volleyball on October 7th!

A lot of good competition at the Jesup meet this afternoon which led to hilights of season PR's by:Owen G, Reese S, Elijah P, Katelyn M, & Levi C!! We also have plenty on the team who are battling through shin splints and still finding a way to battle through & keep on improving!

Earlier today, a student at our JH/HS building experienced a mental health crisis. A staff member responded immediately, and we are grateful to share that all students and staff are safe.
The district is following established safety protocols and providing support for those directly involved, as well as anyone impacted. We know students may share what they saw or heard with families, and we wanted our community to hear directly from us. Please know that no further details will be shared, as our focus remains on the safety and well-being of all students.
Moments like this are a reminder of how important it is to care for our mental health. If you or someone you know is struggling, or if your child needs to talk about what they heard or experienced, please reach out:
- Contact your school counselor or building principal for support and resources
- Call or text 988 to connect with the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
- Lean on friends, family, and community resources—you are never alone

JH Volleyball was on the road to Wellsburg tonight to play AGWSR. The 8th graders were undefeated tonight with many aggressive serves and scrappy plays! The 7th grade team went 2-2 and showed great perseverance and teamwork during many close sets! #rebelnation

I put new centers out in TK, and the kids were really showing their creativity!

Tomorrow night, September 30th, will be Parents' Night for 9-12 GR volleyball. JV and F/S will have two nets going start at 5:30 PM. They will play until roughly 6:30 PM.
Once JV and F/S finish, we will get the gym set up for one net, and following that we will begin our Parents' Night recognition before varsity warm-ups begin.
We are hosting AGWSR and we're looking forward to seeing a packed gym!! Let's show out, Rebel Nation!!

Today we celebrated the end of our first literacy unit in third grade. We have been reading classic stories this unit. We have also been working on opinion writing. One thing we did today to celebrate was to have a picnic lunch, like the characters in Wind in the Willows did.

On Friday, we had the first of our monthly all school character assemblies. Students who
received certificates for showing good character throughout the month of September were recognized during the assembly.
