The TK class had their first visit with the residents at Westbrook Acres in GB. The kids enjoyed doing a craft and having a snack with their new friends.

TK STEM challenge for Little Miss Muffet - Work together to build a tuffet and make Little Miss Muffet. Then make a spider web with a spider that that can drop down and sit beside Little Miss Muffet. It took a lot of perseverance and redesigning but each group was finally successful!

The TK class had fun acting out the nursery rhyme Jack be Nimble!

Environmental Science students learned about Spatial Visualization and Renewable Energy using a STEM Scale Up project. Students were able to use the Spatial Vis program and build wind turbines blades and towers to test. Everyone did a GReat job! #IowaSTEM #RebelNation #RebelsRising

In health class, our last unit was about stress and stress reduction. One strategy is to participate in activities with others that are enjoyable. We spent 25 minutes practicing an enjoyable activity.

If you ordered any football dome apparel it is in the HS commons right now. Any elementary items has been taken over to the elementary to be handed to either staff or students to bring home.

JH/HS students will take apparel home with them today. If you did not have anyone in the elementary or the JH/HS to take your apparel, you order will be in the HS commons to be picked up today.

Tomorrow morning (Nov. 12th) at 8:30, we will have a pep rally in the HS gym for the GR Rebel football team as they will play in the state semifinals tomorrow in the UNI-Dome.

Following the pep rally the team will exit through the back parking lot and get on the bus to have a sendoff at the elementary.

Following the elementary, the bus will get back on Cedar St and go west to Blackhawk St. They will turn onto Blackhawk St and go past the HS to Hwy 175. They will turn and go east on 175 until Pioneer road where it will turn and go north to Cedar Falls.

There will be a firetruck escort leading the bus on the route, so please make sure to cheer loud as they drive by on their way to Cedar Falls! We hope to see a lot of Rebel Nation at the pep rally tomorrow morning.

Life Skills Class = Not Fans of Doing a 1040. Students were given the task to complete a 1040 for a made up person. There was a lot of questions and complaining, but most were able to complete the form. #rebelnation
