Yesterday the 3rd grade students went to UNI to see Mister C: Air is Everywhere! It was lots of fun!
In 3rd grade, we have been learning about mysteries. To end our unit, we created posters about the important parts of a mystery. Last week, we shared our learning with the 2nd-grade students.
Last night GR Elementary hosted a game night in Gladbrook. It was lots of fun playing different games! Thanks to all that came out last night to have some fun!

State football dome shirts have been delivered to the HS. We're in the process of getting them separated and placed in alphabetical order. We will also send orders to the elementary for those students to bring home with them after school today.

We invite fans to come cheer on and show support tomorrow morning in the JH/HS gym before the football game. Here is the plan for tomorrow morning’s pep rally for the football team. The assembly will begin shortly after 8:30 AM. We will have our cheer team lead us in a couple of cheers. Coach Olson and a senior or two will speak. Following that, we will have our cheer team finish up with a couple of more cheers.
Once the pep rally is over, the football team will be escorted via fire truck to the elementary where they will visit the elementary students. After leaving the elementary, they will turn and go west on Cedar St. They will go north on Blackhawk St. and make their way past the front of the JH/HS building until they get to hwy 175. The bus will turn and go east on hwy 175 until they get to Pioneer road where they will turn and go north towards Cedar Falls and the UNI-Dome.

Rebel Athletics: Last week our G-R Rebels started plyometric training in the mornings on Tuesday and Thursday at 6:15am. These "Plyos" are meant to train athletes to jump higher, run faster and be explosive. Last week we had 21 JH-HS kids attend to build on their overall athleticism. They had a great work ethic and came with a great attitude as the training is not easy. They were coached by Head Boys Track coach, Coach Luhring and Strength & Conditioning coach, Coach Schuman. If you can make it this week come to the upper gym at 6:15am ready to train and join in the progress. #rebelnation.

As the semifinal football game on Wednesday approaches, here are some things to keep in mind:
1. Ticket Info
- Tickets will be $12.50 which includes a parking fee
- Tickets can be purchased at a ticket booth when arriving at the UNI-Dome
- It is suggested to buy tickets online ahead of time to avoid waiting in line to purchase
- Tickets online can be purchased at the link: https://unitix.evenue.net/list/ISHAA
- Once at the website, in the top right corner, it says "enter promo code" and you can enter ONESEMI. Tickets will go on sale at noon on Monday, November 11th.
2. Streaming options
- KDAO will be streaming the game (audio only) on 92.9 FM or online like: https://kdao.com/gladbrook-reinbeck-rebels/
- IHSSN will have a video livestream of all semifinal games. There is a cost to purchase.

3. General reminders upon entering the UNI-Dome
- We will be sitting on the west side of the UNI-Dome
- No seating allowed in the first row
- No artificial noise makers
- No signs or banners are to be used in the crowd
- Shirt and shoes are required. Body paint is not considered a shirt.
- No masks or helmets are to be worn in the crowd
*Finally, see below information regarding the implementation of a clear bag policy enforced by UNI:
UNI has implemented a clear bag policy for all athletic events at the UNI-Dome and McLeod
Center. Clear bags made of plastic, vinyl or PVC that do not exceed a 12 x 6 x 12 inch size will be permitted, as well as one-gallon, resealable, clear plastic storage bags. Small bags that are not clear but do not exceed a size 4.5 x 6.5 inches will also be allowed.
Prohibited bags include: purses, backpacks, printed pattern plastic bags, tinted plastic bags, duffle bags, fanny packs, reusable grocery totes, mesh or straw bags, large totes and cases (for camera, binoculars, etc.). An exception may be made for some prohibited items for medical necessity after proper inspection at the gate.
