Tickets to put your name in a drawing for a chance to win either or both will cost $5 each and you can purchase as many tickets as you'd like! They will be available in the hallway located just outside the gym! Tickets will be available starting at 4 PM and can be purchased through the first quarter of the varsity boys game. Rebel Nation, Next Tuesday, January 27th, will be a Red Out night for the American Heart Association as Grundy Center travels to Gladbrook-Reinbeck for HS G/B basketball! We're asking that the student section theme is red and that as many people in the stands wear red as well to help bring awareness for heart health. There will be a director from the American Heart Association selling shirts in the hallway outside the gym. Each shirt will cost $10. Two basketballs from UNI (one signed by the men's team and one signed by the women's team) that people can purchase tickets for and have an opportunity to win. Each ticket will be $5 and the drawing will take place at half time of the varsity boys game. All money from shirts and the UNI basketball tickets will go directly to the American Heart Association. There will also be a relay race between Grundy Center and Gladbrook-Reinbeck students during half time of the varsity girls game. Using the QR code attached to the graphic, people can donate to the AHA or can text using the number included on the graphic. The players, coaches, and cheerleaders will all be wearing a red AHA shirt as their warm up shirts for their games. Varsity starters will also be throwing out signed red basketballs to the crowd! Tomorrow's JV/V G/B basketball games vs Oelwein have been postponed. The rescheduled date will be Monday Feb 9th.

We have had a busy week in third grade!
We had Ag in the Classroom this week. We learned about pigs. We played a game to test our knowledge.
We have started to receive postcards for our Hearts Around the World. It is fun to see all the places they are coming from!
Thanks to those who donated money so that the kids could pick out another book from the book order. They were excited to get their new book!

Due to possible poor road conditions in the early morning tomorrow there will be NO RPOs and the weight room will not be open tomorrow morning before school. #rebelnation
