The TK class enjoyed visiting with their friends at Westbrook and making these fun glasses!

I challenged the 7th graders to make their background knowledge presentations interactive in ELA and they did not disappoint. This group had everyone dancing as part of their presentation.

The TK and kindergarten students had fun as they rotated through five different Dr. Seuss themed small group activities this afternoon. During this game they had to work together to keep the green eggs (balloons) from hitting the floor.

Family Fun Night at Gladbrook-Reinbeck Elementary was a SUPER success! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️ We had 85 students and their families join us for a night full of fun! Activities included: • Creating a superhero name tag • Decorating a superhero mask • Making a comic strip • Superhero tattoos • Coloring a hero • Playing Bingo • Taking home a snack bag There was so much fun happening that we didn’t take many pictures! If you snapped a photo during the night, share it in the comments so we can see the fun. We love bringing our communities together for events like this! 💙

Last week we held our Annual Preschool Family Fun Night in the elementary gym! We went with a Winter Olympic Theme. Our families could create a flag, a gold medal necklace, a snow fort, play in snow, and hold a real Olympic Torch in our Photo Booth! Big shout out to Teri Rokusek Trask for letting us share the torch she carried for the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics in 2002! It was a fun filled evening!

TK Star of the Week!

Postville High School hosted a fantastic day of individual speech. GR took a total of 16 performances, 11 of which are going on to State! Jayla Hemann, Lauren Allen, Felix Lage, Leila Thesing, Janine Kollreider, Emelyne Le Strat, Kinzee Hemann, Mai Knaack, and Tatum Syhlman will see you at Maquoketa Valley on March 14!

Thank you to the GR FFA for hosting a petting zoo for the elementary students. The third-grade kids had a great time!

Earlier this school year, Mrs. Eckhoff, one of our amazing kindergarten teachers at Gladbrook-Reinbeck Elementary, was selected as a recipient of the Project Classroom Grant through Greater Iowa Credit Union! She was even recognized on the field during the Iowa vs. Iowa State football game earlier this year! 🏈❤️💛🖤 Recently, her class gathered to watch the official check presentation video and celebrate with a special goodie box delivered just for them. It was such a fun moment for our kindergarteners! Mrs. Eckhoff’s goal was to help bridge the gap by adding more engaging playground yard games while we continue fundraising for our brand-new playground, which we’re hopeful to have installed this fall.
