Since GR Football took care of business already last night at The Pit💪🏼 GR Football cheer decided we still needed to have some Friday fun. We love our team and thought you'd love to see them at the age of their football jerseys.
Take a look at a few of our favs so far.
(2-#9's since there is always 2 guys wearing #9 on game night🫣)
And #21- Can you guess who that might be?

Ladies and Gentlemen, we proudly present to you the cast of The Addams Family!
Mark your calendars for November 14 at 7:00 PM and November 15 at 2:00 PM!
We hope to see you there!

New segment...words are powerful! My favorite use of a word this week goes to Autumn S., who used the word "sizzly" when describing her favorite flavor of Mt. Dew in her free-write.

Spanish class listened to Disney en español for the Cantaninja (singing ninja) today and 6th period decided to do the wave to "No se habla de Bruno" (We don't talk about Bruno).

XC team ran in the rain @ Waverly 2day. Season PR's for Caleb P(13th place), Caleb B, Tavin R, Mason W, Braiden S, & Grayson R, & a course PR for Landon E. Also many 7th graders ran their 1st race of their career.

Third grade had our first Ag in the Classroom today. Today we learned about corn. We learned the 4 types of corn, identified them each, made a craft, and enjoyed popcorn as a snack. We are thankful for Grundy County Farm Bureau for sponsoring this program. We look forward to each time Mrs. Shari Bakker comes in to teach us about an agricultural topic!

GR Families,
Due to the continued heat, Gladbrook-Reinbeck Schools will dismiss early again tomorrow, Thursday, September 3, at 1:20 PM.
We are continuing to closely monitor conditions inside both of our buildings. Yesterday at approximately 1:30 PM, 16 of the 18 learning spaces we monitored at the elementary had heat indexes above 90 degrees, with four spaces exceeding 100 degrees.
We are currently working to bring additional air conditioning units into the elementary building and will continue assessing classroom conditions throughout the day. Our goal is to ensure we can provide a safe and appropriate learning environment before returning to a full-day schedule during this stretch of extreme heat.
The JH/HS building had additional AC units installed over the summer, which are providing some relief. We are continuing to monitor conditions in that building as well.
We recognize that schedule changes create challenges for families and appreciate your continued flexibility and understanding. We will continue to evaluate conditions and communicate any additional changes as soon as possible.

XC attempted to beat the heat with some communication/mental strength competitions today in practice.

Good morning Rebel Nation,
We have an update regarding varsity football this Friday September 4th at Meskwaki Settlement. Due to low numbers and injury concerns from our opponent, that game has been canceled. This game will not be made up.
We have attempted to contact a handful of schools that also have an opening this Friday to get another game added, but unfortunately those attempts were unsuccessful.
So, we will not have a varsity game this Friday and will not be adding a game to replace it. Our game will go down as a victory for the Rebels by way of a forfeit. The varsity will take the field again on Thursday September 10th at home against Colo-Nesco.
Thank you and go Rebels!
