Finished the season in Mason City this evening. We had some races that were close to PR's and I'm proud of how this team prepared and ran this afternoon. The seasons go fast, & I really look forward to most of this crew returning next year. Special shout out to sen. mngr. Nate S!

Meet your GR School Board Candidate: Amanda Babinat

After serving on the community-led Task Force focused on the future of Gladbrook-Reinbeck, Amanda was inspired to take the next step and run for the School Board. With a background in supply management and product development, she brings strong problem-solving skills and a focus on transparency, relationship building, and collaboration. Her goal? To listen, learn, and help move GR forward—together.

Meet your GR School Board Candidate: Kyle Rasmussen A long-time Reinbeck resident, parent of two GR students, and small business owner, Kyle brings experience in financial planning, community leadership, and a passion for strong public schools. His focus? Building trust, supporting teachers, and preparing students for real-world success.

A lifelong advocate for education, Jennifer has been part of the Gladbrook-Reinbeck School District since 1984 as a teacher, coach, parent, and now board member. With nearly four decades of experience supporting students and staff, she brings deep insight, compassion, and a commitment to public education. Jennifer’s goal is to ensure that every student has access to a safe, engaging, and opportunity-filled learning environment that reflects the strength of both the Gladbrook and Reinbeck communities.

With years of volunteer experience and a heart for connecting people, she is committed to helping build bridges throughout the district and ensuring every student thrives. Megan’s goal is to listen, collaborate, and contribute to shaping a future-focused school system that works for every family in the GR district.

Meet your GR School Board Candidate: Doug Rowe

With nearly two decades of service on the GR School Board, Doug brings deep experience, dedication, and a commitment to students, staff, and families. A familiar face in the community, Doug has been actively involved in district events, youth programs, and civic projects. His focus remains on modernizing facilities, supporting staff, and ensuring every student has the tools and opportunities to succeed.

The TK class has been learning about how pumpkins grow. Today, we cut open one of our pumpkins to see all of the seeds inside. The kids helped clean the seeds out of the pumpkin, and they each got to take some seeds home. I am taking some of the seeds home to bake them, and we will eat them tomorrow.

Halloween Dress Up! (JH/HS only) Pay $3 to wear a costume to school on October 30th! All proceeds go to Greyson’s Gang, free will donation is appreciated. There will be a vote for best costume👻

Last night after a grueling practice our State Competition Cheer Squad had team bonding with some pumpkin painting. They made a delicious candy salad and got right to work painting. It was an intense hour of complete concentration. With prizes and bragging rights on the line these ladies dialed in and brought their "A-game". Here are the results! Please vote for your favorite number pumpkin- on the original post- voting needs at 10pm on October 30th. We will announce our winner on October 31st.
